Chelsea

A year later and to be honest not much has changed at Stamford Bridge. A year ago Chelsea dealt with a season where two new managers came and went and where disappointing rained through in the Premier and European League. Carlo Ancelotti is set with the task of trying to please everyone in the league with Chelsea’s performance, and come question his ability. One thing is for sure though, and that is that Chelsea live football is always entertaining and will continue to be in 2009-10.

It is up to Ancelotti to keep up the team’s momentum that Guus Hiddink got started near the end of last year. He has been unable to find that marquee player that team is after but there is still more than enough talent to compete at the top level. Frank Lampard should be liberated under the new system and Didier Drogba, John Terry and Yuri Zhirkov should provide much needed energy all across the field.

Fans of Chelsea live football were more than pleased with the team’s ability to hang onto John Terry after Manchester City came knocking on the door. Terry partnered up with Ricardo Carvalho should provide solid defense and the likes of Michael Ballack, Ashley and Joe Cole, John Mikel Obi and Florent Malouda should bring all the firepower the team needs to stick to the top of the league.

Ironically some pressure may be relieved this year for Chelsea now that Manchester City has taken over the spot as top spenders in the league. Now it seems that football fans will take down some of their unrealistic expectations for the team. With Manchester United losing their top two players, Carlos Tevez and Cristiana Ronaldo, there is no doubt that Chelsea may be able to compete for the EPL title.

Will Chelsea be able to excel under their new manager or will teams like Manchester City be able to overtake Chelsea in the English Premier League 2009-10 season? Tune in right here on OleOleFootball and find out just exactly what will happen with all the live Chelsea football you want.…

Bolton

Gary Megson has not been enjoying his time at the helm of the Bolton Wanderers that much and has picked up on the vibe that not many fans appreciate him. While he was a peculiar choice for the team, there is hope throughout the club that he can stun the fans and bring Bolton into Premier League relevancy. Will that actually happen?

After inheriting a quickly aging squad Megson has led the team to relative safety. There are at least a half dozen larger clubs stuck in divisions alone but Megson still wants to take the team further. He made some very sensible purchases by acquiring Paul Robinson, Zat Knight, Sean Davis, and Sam Ricketts. With those additions and some good luck it is not unthinkable for Bolton to be able to finish within the top 10 of the Premier League. And if they do, the fans would have to give Megson a lot of the credit.

The Bolton manager has also brought in Gary Cahill and Matt Taylor who both excelled with the team last year. The one knock on his moves was the addition of Johan Elmander who cost over 8 million pounds yet only netted 5 goals. If Bolton really wants to finish in the mid-table, it may be up to Elmander to prove why he was worth so much money.

It should be an exciting season for the Bolton Wanderers and their fans. Can Megson take them to the next level and keep his doubters quiet? Or will players like Elmander continue to disappoint and force fans to call for Megson’a head? The best way to find out is to watch Bolton live right here on OleOleFootball.…
